Jill Sartori and Keith Cantore
In July, 2004, Jill Sar tori and Keith Cantore, both 25, of Chicago Ridge, were arrested after a joint surveillance by Chicago Police, ATF and the Illinois State Police. Sartori was arrested after purchasing a 9mm pistol for her boyfriend, Cantore, who is a convicted felon. Investigation revealed that Sar tori had previously bought weapons for Cantore and that Cantore was actively recruiting other straw purchasers for weapons he intended to sell to other convicted felons.
Recently, Sar tori and Cantore were convicted in Federal cour t as par t of Project Safe Neighborhoods. There is no parole in the Federal system.
