Lashon Browning
On August 9, 2002, Lashon Browning, 30, of 2739 W. Maypole, was arrested by Chicago Police officers after his vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation on Chicago Avenue near Kedzie. Browning had a loaded semi-automatic pistol and ammunition in the car when it was stopped. Evidence presented during Browning's trial showed that during the last 15 years, Browning had only been out of prison for a total of 6 months. Browning is an admitted member of the Traveling Vice Lords street gang.
Recently, Browning was sentenced to 20 years in Federal prison, with no opportunity for parole.
